GLENS FALLS, N.Y. (NEWS10) - A Glens Falls woman was arrested last week for welfare fraud. The Warren County Sheriff's Office arrested Hope M. Hogan, 28, for taking over $2,000 in SNAP benefits that she would have not otherwise qualified for. Get the latest, news, weather, sports and community events delivered right to your inbox! Hogan was found to have failed to declare social security income, according to an investigation by the sheriff's department and the Warren County Social Services Fraud Investigators office. Failing to declare that income allowed her to collect $2,632 in SNAP food benefits for which she would not have been eligible otherwise.Hogan was charged with felony counts of Welfare Fraud, 4th degree; Grand Larceny, 4th degree; and Offering a False Instrument for Filing, 1st degree. (NEWS10) -- To maintain and rehabilitate sidewalks and infrastructure, the City of Troy and the Capital District Transportation Committee will work with LaBella Associates to evaluate the accessibility of pedestrian infrastructure. LaBella staff will walk over 140 miles to evaluate sidewalks, curb ramps, crosswalks, city-owned paved multi-use trails, pedestrian signals, and pedestrian-accessible transit stops. ST. LOUIS COUNTY, Mo. - A Berkeley woman accused of child abuse remains jailed after video of the crime turned up on social media. According to a probable cause statement obtained from the Berkeley Police Department, the incident occurred on April 27 in the 8300 block of South Fay.Berkeley police claim the Missouri Division of Family Services requested assistance from law enforcement at a residence. An officer arrived at the home and met with a DFS caseworker. Jefferson County Sheriff’s deputies are holding a 50-year-old man suspected of homicide in what police are calling a “nefarious” killing inside an RV parked at a Regional Transportation District Park-N-Ride lot.Sheriff’s investigators on Wednesday announced that Donald Leroy Harris will face charges of First Degree Murder.
